The information on this site is provided solely for the purpose of providing information about Hotel Zuid and the services offered by Hotel Zuid. Hotel Zuid makes every reasonable effort to ensure that this information is correct at the time of recording, which does not prevent this site from always containing incomplete, inaccurate or out-of-date information. Hotel Zuid reserves the right to supplement, change, correct or delete the information provided at any time, without any notification and without this giving rise to any liability on the part of Hotel Zuid. General terms and conditions of sale of Hotel Zuid:

 

 

Article 1.

​

Subject to special written provisions issued by a person authorized to do so, the current general terms and conditions apply to all commitments of Hotel Zuid. These conditions are stated on the website www.hotelzuid.be. As a result, they have been sufficiently notified. The tacit acceptance is sufficiently apparent from the visit to our premises or the receipt of our documents or services.

 

Article 2.

The services and rates are freely determined by the Management, which reserves the right to change them.

 

Article 3.

​

The hotel owner is only liable for damage, destruction or theft of items that a hotel guest who is staying in the hotel brings in, up to a maximum amount of one hundred times the accommodation price per day of the sleeping accommodation, unless the item was effectively kept in custody, the hotel owner refused to accept securities , money and valuables or if the damage is the result of the fault of the hotel owner cannot be held liable if the damage is due to the guest himself or the person who accompanies him, visits or employs him is; armed theft or the nature or defect of the item. Under penalty of forfeiture of the right to compensation, the hotel guest must notify the hotel owner of the damage immediately after it has been established.

 

Article 4.

An invoice will only be sent to the customer if he requests this, except in cases where the issue of an invoice is legally required. The price is payable in cash, net and without reduction. In the event of non-payment, the price will be increased by operation of law with default interest at the conventional interest rate of 12% and with a fixed compensation of 10% with a minimum of 75 euros and a maximum of 1,500 euros per collection. In addition, any late payment of a single invoice from Hotel Zuid allows to suspend all services of any kind that are still in progress. If necessary, Hotel Zuid can invoke the right to dissolve. These decisions can be taken by operation of law and without notice of default. All goods of the hotel guest that are in the hotel will be retained until further guarantee of payment of the amounts due. Any complaint about the quality of the services received must be formulated within 3 days after delivery. Any complaints about the correctness of the invoice must be formulated in writing within 7 days after the invoice has been sent

 

Article 5.

Hotel Zuid, if they so wish, ipso jure and without having to deliver, subject any acceptance of an order, any reservation or any service to be delivered or continued to full or partial payment of the amounts owed or will be owed to it. are themselves anticipatory, even in the form of an advance, abbreviation or full arrangement.

 

Article 6.

​

Any dispute falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the court in Tongeren and, unless otherwise stated by law, Belgian law will apply. We reserve the right to waive this clause upon collection.

 

Article 7 - cancellation conditions for all bookings with the exception of bookings via www.hotelzuid.be | up to 10 rooms

 

The standard cancellation conditions – flexible rate:


In case of cancellation within 24 hours before arrival, 100% of the reservation value* is for your account. In case of a no show, 100% of the reservation value* is for your account.

 

The non-refundable rate:

This reservation is fully prepaid. In case of cancellation, change or if you do not show up (no show) it is possible 

 

Article 8 - cancellation conditions via www.hotelzuid.be | up to 10 rooms

 

The standard cancellation conditions – flexible rate:

 

Free cancellation until 11am on the day of arrival.
No payment needed today. You only pay during your stay.
Credit card for guarantee only.
Changed plans? In case of cancellation or modification  (after 11 am on the day of arrival) or if you do not show up (no show), the full amount of the reservation will be charged.

 

The non-refundable rate:

This reservation is fully prepaid. In case of cancellation, change or if you do not show up (no show) it is possible 

 

Article 9 - Payment and cancellation conditions for groups (from 10 rooms):

 

In case of cancellation more than 3 months before the arrival date, no costs will be charged. In case of cancellation more than 2 months before arrival, 15% of the reservation value is for your account. In case of cancellation more than 1 month before arrival, 35% of the reservation value is for your account. In case of cancellation more than 7 days before arrival, 85% of the reservation value is for your account. In case of cancellation 7 days or less before the commencement date, 100% of the reservation value is for your account. No show & earlier departure date: 100% of the reservation value is for your account *.

 

*The reservation value is the value of the confirmed price multiplied by the number of nights booked.

 

Payment is made as follow for every group booking from 10 rooms:

 

Domestic (Belgium): 50% of the reservation value upon confirmation; 10 days before the start of the event 25%; the remaining 25% plus any extras may be invoiced.

Abroad: 50% of the reservation value upon confirmation; The remaining 50% 10 days before the start of the event. It is not possible to send invoices abroad. Extras must be settled on site.

NPOs, MICE offices, clubs, associations, private companies and other intermediaries at home and abroad: 50% of the reservation value upon confirmation; The remaining 50% 10 days before the start of the event. Extras must be settled on site. It is not possible to send an invoice.

 

Article 10.

​

The customer will provide a credit card upon check-in, of which Hotel Zuid will record the details. If the customer does not make the payment within the agreed period, or if the customer uses facilities (e.g. minibar, wellness, bar, restaurant, etc.) that are not indicated at check-out, the hotel will be entitled to pay this via the credit card. subject to the sole condition that the detail of the statement is delivered to the customer, either electronically or by post. In any case, the customer must protest the payment made in writing within 8 days if he believes that it was not done correctly.

 

Terms of payment

​

The payment term of an invoice drawn up by Hotel Zuid or an invoice drawn up by one of the hotels is 30 calendar days, counting from the day on which the invoice is sent.

 

Flanders International Department

​

The Flanders International Department is the competent authority that grants the permit and where further information can be obtained about the regulations regarding the operation of tourist accommodation and the legal remedies that are generally available in case of disputes and where the tourist can submit a complaint.
